USE OF SCIENCE IN THE TMDL PROGRAM
This report suggests changes in the data used and analytical methods employed that will support the revisions to the TMDL process recommended above. The following sections highlight the use of science in the TMDL program steps as illustrated in
Figure ES-1. Additional recommendations about the scientific basis of the program not included in this executive summary are found throughout the report.
Water Quality Standards
